The Beginning

First of all let me say, I AM NOT A WRITER, but I just had to write this blog about the view from my apartment window and how much it has changed since we first moved in about a year and a half ago. You wouldn't think much goes on around here but it does.

Most of what I enjoy watching is the nature. I love the birds and animals and watching whatever they may be up to. The people around here can be quite interesting as well.

My window looks out onto our back yard which backs up to railroad tracks. I know what your thinking, spectacular view. On the other side of the railroad tracks is a grassy preserve with a small patch of trees. When we first moved in we had lots of trees in our yard. A huge pine tree and about four or five other trees. Our landlord however was worried about the size and age of our trees and had them all removed. I was heart broken. The birds loved our tress. We often saw Blue Jays, Robins, Cardinals, Gold Finches, and a wide varitey of Sparrows and other birds. We all watched as the trees came down and the squirrels and bunnys scattered. It was so sad to see the trees go and all that went with them, but when the trees were gone it cleared the view to the preserve behind them. What a view! We were now able to see the larger birds that frequent the area and coyotes that live in the patch of trees.

The people around here are quite interesting to watch too. People who walk their dogs along the tracks, neighbors who climb our fence to get to the preserve, neighbors who come into our yard and steal our stuff and the guys who work for the landlord and the stuff they say and do. Never a dull moment around here!

It has been a long process from where it started and where it is now. Lots of interesting things have gone on back there and if you're interested I have a lot to share about the whole thing.
